Middle Wallop International 2-day Electric Flight Event.  If you did not come to last years event, you missed a great weekend!  Proof of insurance and a minimum flying qualification of a relevant "A" Certificate is required for this event.  More information to come.

This year’s event will commemorate Colonel H. J. Taplin world’s first officially recorded R/C electric model flight on the 30th June 1957. He used his seven year old R/C Radio Queen prototype. Motive power was from a 24v government surplus Emerson motor & 25 silver/zinc cells On the Sunday it is hoped to hold competition for the Exide & Drydex trophy for the best flown electric powered Radio Queen.  This beats Fred Militky of Graupner fame, who first achieved a successful flight with a F/F model in October 1957.

There will be the 2010 Eurotour F5F 4-cell Motor Gliders and F5B Motor Gliders on both days!

Chester Roodee Electric Fly-In.  This is held annually in the centre of Chester Race Course, with parking next to the flight line.  Sport flying only from 9.30am to 4pm on this attractive site close to Chester city centre.  Proof of insurance required.  For more details contact Dave Jones on 01244 376 868

24th & 25th

Greenacres MAC Electric Fun Fly.  A weekend dedicated to all things aeronautically electrical.  They want to keep the day fairly informal and the rules to a minimum.  Pilots must have at least an “A” certificate, and the model must have been flown before.  They will try to accommodate similar models in the air together where possible, i.e. warbirds, etc.  There will be onsite camping and catering throughout the weekend.  There is an informal BBQ on Friday evening for those that can help set-up on Friday afternoon, there will also be the now traditional BBQ on Saturday evening.  Last year was a great success and everybody enjoyed some great flying. For more information see the Greenacres website.
